TRIANGLES
will be released in about five months! To continue the countdown, I'm introducing another character today, and one each month, until the release on June
18! I'm also including a contest with each character. The details follow the
introduction. Today, Joey DeStefano is up!

Hi,
my name is Joseph DeStefano, but everyone calls me Joey. I live with my mom and
brothers, and I help take care of them—even my mom. It’s hard, but I can handle
it. I do what I have to since my dad split and left us alone with no money. With
my mom sick and my brothers raising hell, my escape is in cars.
I’m
a mechanic in an auto shop, and I’ve got it bad for our cashier, Autumn Taylor.
I fell for her the first time I saw her picture, when her mom brought her car
in for service. Then, Autumn started working at the shop, and bam!—she stole my
heart. She may not be the perfect girl, but she’s perfect for me.
There’s
only one, tiny problem. Autumn won’t give me the time of day. She’s so
hell-bent on leaving Jersey and keeping everyone at a safe distance that she
doesn’t realize how great we could be together. But I have big plans for us,
and if she would let me in, I could rock her world. I just need to find a way
to convince her to give me a chance, but with her stubborn streak and tough
girl act, it won’t be easy.
I’m
up for the challenge.

This is a great count-down idea. Can't believe it's only 5 more months!
ReplyDeleteThanks T! I'm so excited, and I am so thrilled to let my characters introduce themselves. Especially Joey. I really like him :)
ReplyDeleteOh!!! Great question..."Who or what would you like to get lost in the Bermuda Triangle with?"
ReplyDeleteMy answer? My hubby or Adam Levine. :)
So excited for Triangles to meet the world!
Does hubby know he only has a 50/50 chance? ;) Thanks Jackie!
ReplyDeleteYep. His crush is Jennifer Aniston. :)
Delete"Who or what would you like to get lost in the Bermuda Triangle with?" I'd have to say my Nook. I go nuts when I don't have something to read. I have tons of books on there, so I'd never get lonely and I can re-read them without getting too bored. Sure, I might go insane... but if I'm the only one there, who'd notice :)
ReplyDeleteI love my nook, too! I have three and couldn't imagine life without them!
ReplyDeleteLiking this JOEY character very much. Can't wait to see how the interaction w/ Autumn turns out, plus the trip thru the Bermuda Triangle. If I were lost in the Bermuda Triangle, it would be hard to choose who or what I would want or need. I guess the answer is NOTHING, b/c there is no outside communication w/ the world, so it seems. Guess if I had to pick, it would be my husband who helps me w/ everything. But I would like to be w/ my whole family, so we could all be together.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ree! Love reading these comments!
DeleteI'm rooting for you, Joey!
ReplyDeleteAw, me too! He's so sweet! Thanks, Kelly!
DeleteAwesome contest! I would pick to be stuck with Ewan McGregor. ;)
ReplyDeleteNot a bad idea, Dorothy!
Deletelol either my Nook so I could read or an unlimited supply of matches - being without fire for cooking, warmth, and protection would suck! :D
ReplyDeleteI think both would be a good idea!
DeleteThe only way I'll ever finish my To-Read collection on my Kindle is if I get stuck in the Bermuda Triangle with it...but can I get WiFi there? Ah, well, I'd like to bring my husband too.
ReplyDeleteOoh, Sandra - yes, wi fi is a must!
DeleteI think I'd want to be stranded with my Kindle, but how would I charge it? Would I have to make a battery from coconuts, like the Professor on Gilligan's Island?
ReplyDeleteYou know, I didn't think about charging things - good point!
DeleteJenn A has a point--I would never want to be separated from my laptop--and a wall outlet. Oh--and internet. But, probably that's not going to work--guess I'd better choose my kids! Wait---never mind---I pick Hugh Jackman--I think he'd keep me very well entertained.
ReplyDeletehere is my tweet: https://twitter.com/search?q=%23MysteriousBermudaTriangle&src=hash
Lots of good ideas, there, Lisa!
DeleteGreat character!! I'd choose my husband, John :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lindsay!
DeleteI think my kids would be great helpers, and they have years of fort-building experience! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Toni! Helpers would certainly be a good thing to have around!
ReplyDeleteKimmy, I seriously can't wait to read this book!!! Ahh!! ...I would love to get stuck in the Bermuda Triangle with Johnny Depp. He is my ultimate celebrity crush. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine! Johnny Depp sounds like a great choice!
DeleteOooh Kimmy... this is too tempting. I'd like to get lost with my tablet, a solar charger, reach-anywhere WiFi, and a limitless Amazon gift card. I could fashion a hammock out of palm fronds, make some tropical berry juice, and plant myself in the shade of a palm tree and read all day. Aahhhh. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read your book!
-Patti
Thanks Patti! Great ideas...love the berry juice!
DeleteAs much as I love my precious books. It sure would be good to get stuck in the Bermuda Triangle with Jennifer Lawrence. I love her in most of the work she does and I knew of her before I saw The Hunger Games. And to be quite honest, she is quite pretty. (The honest words of a 14 year old boy)
ReplyDeleteGreat choice Christopher! I have yet to see the Hunger Games but I'm sure I will love it!
