WRITERS AND PETS

If you’re on any of the social media websites, especially facebook, tumblr, and Twitter, you’re bound to see writers posting pics of them with their pets. I have three cats, and they always hang around with me when I write, especially my male, Tuxedo. He sits on my lap, rubs his face on my laptop, and sits on my charger when the laptop is plugged in. Here he is:

I also have Athena and Aphrodite, but they care less about my writing than Tuxedo does:

How about you? Do any pets in your life help you along in your writing?

  1. So cute!!! I have a cat who's staying with my parents right now, as I'm not allowed pets where I'm living. I miss her ...

  2. You're cats are so cute! Love the hat!

I'm not allowed to have pets where I live either. And my hubby is a dog lover, while I'm a cat lover. So it's probably best we can't have a pet as we can't agree on them anyways. lol

But, I do have a toddler who refuses to let me be on the computer. He has to be on my lap and typing for me. ;-)

  3. My cat Morgan likes to sleep on the back of my Comfy Chair. He is useful as a warm, purring pillow for me to rest my head on while I write. It's like a constant, low-level shoulder massage. :D

  4. I have Whisper, my little sweetie, gray baby, actually about 17 years old. When she gets impatient because in her opinion I have been on the computer too long, she will just come over and stare me down, until I just cannot resist at least stopping and petting her. I, too, like you Kimmy, have a cat in most of my writing.

  6. My dog, Flo, always is close when I'm writing. She likes company. So do I. :)
